Like many, my cycling journey started on the road and clad in Lycra. Many evening & weekends were spent clocking up the miles & beers with the Chevaliers cycling club - debating the correct etiquette for negotiating a through and off paceline around the busy traffic of Kingston upon Thames.

Moving west and away from London gave the opportunity to branch out into off road riding and bikepacking. Although still bikes, the rule are different (are there any?), the kit is different, and the adventures are very different.

The purpose of this site is to record those adventures so I can look back and see the progress and freedom cycling brings.
